You know, it’s often discussed here how Adventure Time is fantasy with a drop of reality, and Regular Show is reality with a drop of fantasy.
Adventure Time is a world of wizards and heroes and fantasy, but with an undercurrent of realism like the wizard must be a bit of a creepy loser to keep kidnapping princesses and the princess isn’t necessarily going to be romantically attracted to the hero.
Regular show is the world of a couple slackers with a low-effort job, but even their simplest tasks are herculean in nature. Their asshole boss has the heart of gold, their coffee house crush actually likes them back, their wise old coworker is an ancient mystic. It’s a fantasy version of real life.
The two shows are two sides of the same coin.

If I was a famous author I would publish a book with ten different endings which all went to print with varying degrees of rarity, but not tell the fans about it so that I could watch their confusion as they disagree over how the story ended. Then when they figured it out I would ‘come clean’, telling them that I had released eleven alternate endings and watch them panic again as they all try to find the last ending.
This is perfect.
